Julian Fenwick
Managing Director

Julian is the Managing Director of Governance Risk & Compliance Solutions. Prior to this Julian was CEO of Blake Dawson Technology.

Julian moved into the legal compliance industry in October 2000. Since that time, he has been instrumental in the development of the online compliance training industry in the APAC region.

Julian is a regular presenter in Australia and Asia on innovation, entrepreneurship, RegTech, and managing organisational compliance. He is an enthusiastic supporter of the Australian start-up community with a particular interest in adaptive e-learning technology. Julian holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Sydney and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the GRC Institute.






Irene Chua
Regional Director of APAC, Business Development

Irene is the Regional Director of APAC at GRC Solutions. Drawing over 10 years’ experience in management, marketing and business development, large-scale project management and learning technology roles, she has worked in regional countries and with global clients in varying capacities.

Irene has a wide range of experience working with senior business leaders and stakeholders across distinct industries, assisting them with their business challenges and helping their development.

Prior to joining GRC Solutions, Irene held management role with Singapore Technologies Engineering Group in Singapore.

Adrian Phoon
Head of Content

Since joining GRC Solutions in 2012, he has helped expand our award-winning Salt Compliance courses into the Asia Pacific; continuously improved our products to reflect legal reforms and instructional design principles; and delivered many customised projects for our clients.

From providing thought leadership for the Commonwealth Bank Foundation‘s financial literacy programs to presenting at iDesignX, he has researched, taught and developed content. His writing has been published widely, moving from Shakespeare to modern Chinese art to food sustainability. A University of Sydney graduate with First Class Honours in English Literature, he’s a lifelong learner.

Adrian is a former Co-Chair of Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras and a current board member of Sydney WorldPride, an international LGBTQI+ event that will take place in 2023, celebrating diversity while shining a light on human rights issues across the Asia Pacific and the world.

Liam O'Brien
Senior consultant

Liam is a highly experienced risk and compliance expert, a company director, and problem solver.

He brings a practical approach to client matters formed from years of experience both in house and in an advisory capacity. His pragmatic view is formed around a principle that regulatory activities should be designed to enhance the chance of realising commercial aspirations. His measure of success for risk and compliance programs is the way they influence how people within organisations go about their work. Liam is a professional trainer and often speaks at conferences and networking events for industry associations such RMIA, GRC Institute, Governance Institute,Institute of Internal Auditors and the IAPP.

John Blackwell
Head of Strategic Relationships

John is Head of Operations and Account Manager at GRC Solutions and leads a highly self-motivated team of talented professionals who focus on building relationships with people to help them deliver solutions to their organisations.

After working in a variety of external and internally facing roles with PwC for nearly 20 years, John has applied knowledge, experience and skills to ensuring that our clients adopt and implement the solution that best fits their e-learning needs.

As well as business development, the sales professionals at GRC Solutions provide account management, solution consulting and maintain a keen oversight in the lifecycle of a product implementation to ensure that the organisation and their employees benefit from the investment made.

Joe Bennett
Head of Client Services and Technology

Joe is the Head of Client Services and Technology at GRC Solutions leading a team of highly skilled technical, implementation, support and training professionals.

He has worked in professional services firms for 20 years including: KPMG, Minter Ellison, HP, Blake Dawson/Ashurst and GRC Solutions.

Joe has more than 10 years of proven experience in implementing compliance management and training systems throughout hundreds of Australian and international organisations. He can customise and tailor implementation and training strategies for each client based on this vast working knowledge of clients, industries and systems.

Joe and the team pride themselves on the quality of service they provide all clients. This is demonstrated by GRC Solutions’ very high client satisfaction and retention rate.

Lyndon Lovell
Senior Consultant


Lyndon has over16 years’ experience in Governance, Risk and Compliance publishing and training solutions.  

In 2012, Lyndon completed a Master of Learning Science and Technology at the University of Sydney, focusing on eLearning and mobile devices, directly applied to compliance and ethics training programmes.

He is a skilled instructional designer, consultant and project manager who excels in engaging clients and internal stakeholders to achieve project outcomes. He builds strong relationships both internally and externally.

Lyndon has extensive experience in instructional design for elearning, managing and implementing training solutions and GRC software projects, creating blended learning solutions, facilitating training, and coaching and mentoring.

Michael Funston
Consultant, Legal Compliance

Michael has thirty years post-admission experience as a lawyer. Prior to working for GRC Solutions, he managed the Legal & Compliance team at the Customer Owned Banking Association for ten years.

Michael has also held positions of Senior Lawyer at ASIC, and Coordinator of the Financial Rights Legal Centre (previously Consumer Credit NSW Inc). His areas of expertise-include retail banking and finance regulation, privacy law, financial services industry codes, and general consumer protection law.

Kimberly Randle
Executive Director and Principal Lawyer,

Kimberly is an experienced, and innovative human rights advocate specialising in modern slavery. Having begun her legal career in commercial litigation at top tier law firms in both Australia and the United States, Kimberly holds a strong and diverse professional network. Kimberly most recently held the role as Senior Director of Corporate and Legal for International Justice Mission Australia, a global office of the world’s largest international anti - slavery NGO. In that role, she established, managed and developed strategic government, commercial and policy initiatives to combat modern slavery while contributing to the rapid revenue growth of the office. For the past two years, Kimberly has worked closely with members of both the NSW and Federal government as a compassionate advocate for the passage of both the NSW and Federal Modern Slavery Act.

Kimberly is a sought-after expert and speaker in the field of modern slavery having provided evidence at both the Commonwealth and New South Wales Parliamentary Inquiries into Modern Slavery. In 2017, Kimberly appeared on an expert panel at the UNODC Conference on Child Exploitation. Kimberly is regularly relied upon by both the public and private sector as a thought leader on addressing modern slavery in Australia and the region. In 2017 Kimberly was a finalist in the 2017 Women in Law Awards for Not For Profit Lawyer of the Year.

Stephanie Wong
Lawyer

Stephanie has wide-ranging experience in developing content for the legal sector, having drafted and edited many of our off-the-shelf and custom courses. She writes with a sensitivity towards the industries and sectors our clients work in, and an acute understanding of the human dimensions of the challenges that our learners may encounter, in both the context of their workplaces and the process of learning.

Deidre Grover
Senior Compliance Advisor

Deidre was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW over 30 years ago and has worked at GRC Solutions since late 2018. Deidre has spent many years working in financial services in both education and policy roles. She has also spent many years working as a Senior Legal Writer and Editor and was formerly the Assistant Editor of the authorised NSW Law Reports. 

Over the past decade, Deidre has worked as a Program Developer and Policy Analyst at the College of Law, as the Anti-Money Laundering Graduate Program Manager at the Australian Financial Markets Association, and as a Senior Policy Adviser at Finsia.
